Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems Names Anstey Director, New Markets

TROY, Mich., Aug. 12 -- Delphi Corporation has named Brian M. Anstey, 51, director, new markets, Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems, effective immediately. He will report to F. Timothy Richards, Delphi E&C's executive director of business lines.

In this position, Anstey will champion the development of the division's business initiatives to expand its customer base and product portfolio into new and diversified markets. He will also serve as the divisional representative for programs targeted for entry into new markets such as aerospace and military; agricultural, industrial, marine, and construction; power systems, communications, bio-medical; recreational and commercial vehicles.

"This move is intended to provide a more aggressive focus on pursuing new growth opportunities, utilizing our product depth, breadth and knowledge to achieve our long-term strategic vision in non-automotive segments," said Richards. "Brian's key responsibilities will be to work in conjunction with the division's business teams to formulate strategies for new market opportunities and develop sound action plans around those strategies."

Anstey will retain his leadership role of the Aftermarket Business Team and will continue to direct business integration and development activities within the Delphi Products & Service Solutions division.

"Brian brings a wealth of international business development experience to this role, having served in previous management roles in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and South America," said Richards.

Anstey began his career with General Motors in 1969 as a co-op student at the former Harrison Radiator division. Since that time, he has held several management positions within Delphi, including director, worldwide customer programs; director, product marketing; director, worldwide marketing and product line manager for the aftermarket business line, to name a few. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University). He also completed the Executive Management Program at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
