Pre-Race Notes at Mid-Ohio
- No. 14 Groom used race one as a test session to work on setups, making
numerous pit stops.
- No. 22 Thomas flat tire in race one was caused by debris from the accident
in turn one.
- The contact between No. 59 Green and No. 9 Kasemets in race one resulted
in No. 9 suffering damage to the left rear corner. No. 59 suffered damage to
the entire left side car and was unable to repair the car for race two.
- No. 19 Urlin had damage to the rear left corner after contact with No. 7
Massari on the last lap in race one.
- No. 7 damage the nose box and both front corners in the incident.
- No. 11 Rubenzer worked on his rotors following the race, after suffering
excessive brake pad wear.
- No. 22 Aube, No. 38 Rose, No. 61 Kowalik, No. 62 Sakowicz, No. 11 and No.
59 all did not go out in the morning warm-up.
- The top-five in the points standings after race one is No. 3 Sellers 210
pts, No. 2 Jones 170 pts, No. 24 McIntosh 153 pts, No. 19 Urlin 149 pts and
No. 32 Aschenbach 136 pts.
