Qualifying Notes at Mid-Ohio
8:06 AM – Cars given the three-minute mark to the start of the 20-minute
qualifying session for Sunday’s Round Ten race.
8:07 AM – No. 3 Sellers captured the pole for Round Nine, with a lap record
of 1:22.702.
8:08 AM – Conditions are ideal, with cloudless skies and warm temperatures.
8:09 AM – Cars roll onto pitlane to begin the qualifying session.
8:10 AM – Following qualifying yesterday every car’s ECU was taken. They
were then randomly redistributed back to the teams.
8:12 AM – A season high seven ACC cars are competing this weekend.
8:13 AM – No. 4 Fonferko is reported to be spraying fluid.
8:13 AM – No. 14 Groom also reported to be spraying fluid.
8:14 AM – No. 85 Irving reported to be slowing on course in turn eight.
8:16 AM – No. 85 has pulled off course in turn 10.
8:16 AM – Top-five is No. 4 Fonferko, No. 24 McIntosh, No. 33 Dyer, No.
Green and No. 9 Massari.
8:18 AM – No. 37 Dona spins in turn but continues.
8:18 AM – Several cars have entered the pits to make minor changes.
8:19 AM – Top-five is now No. 24, No. 4, No. 32 Aschenbach, No. 22 Aube and
No. 6 McDonough.

8:21 AM – No. 31 Meeks into the wall in turn 15.
8:21 AM – No. 8 Clarke has spun and become high-sided in turn 14. No. 2 also
spins but continues.
8:23 AM – Top-five is No. 24, No. 19 Urlin, No. 32, No. 3 and No. 4
8:24 AM – The top ACC car is No. 31 Meeks.
8:24 AM – The fastest time is 1:23.997.
8:27 AM – CHECKERED
8:27 AM – No. 24 McIntosh captures his second pole position of the year,
followed by No. 19 Urlin and No. 32 Aschenbach. No. 31 Meeks is the quickest
ACC, 19th overall.
