Practice Notes at Mid-Ohio
- The practice session for Rounds Nine and Ten on Friday morning was run
under ideal conditions.
- No. 6 McDonough missed the session, as the team was replacing the motor,
wit motor lent by Roquin Motorsports. The team hopes to make the afternoon
qualifying session.
- Several cars had minor off-course excursions during the half-hour session,
with no significant damage.
- No. 2 Jones got airborne exiting turn 11, after hitting the rumble strips.
The car continued with no damage.
- No. 19 Urlin pulled into the pits on the first lap in the session with
gear problems. the team repaired the car in time to run the last five
minutes of the session.
- No. 16 Gue was examining the fuel injector valves after the session, after
reporting some lose in power in the session.
- No. 7 Massari was changing gears after the session.
- No. 61 Kowalik, who has not competed at Mid-Ohio in four years, was
changing gears after the session.
- Qualifying for Saturday's Round Nine race commences at 1:45 p.m. today.
