Special $5.00 Ticket Continues at the Hardeeville Motor Speedway on Saturday


HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (August 5, 2002) - On Saturday night, August 10th, the
Hardeeville Motor Speedway will continue to offer a $5.00 general admission
ticket for everyone 12 years of age and older on Kid's Night.  Children
under 12 years of age will be admitted free.  Racing action will feature an
Xtreme Stock Car Championship, the Legends Cars, the Coastal Medical
Associates Street Stiocks, the Mini Stocks and the Road Warriors.  The
Hardeeville Motor Speedway has Road Warrior cars available to rent or
purchase.

The Legends Cars action expects to see some of the best drivers from the
world competing at HMS on Saturday night.  All three INEX National Points
leaders are expected to compete.  They include Craig Goess Jr. from
Greenville, NC (Pro Division), Tommy Jordan from Hartsville, SC (Masters
Division) and Jimmy Lang  from Bluffton, SC (Semi Pro Division).  Many
other HMS regulars are also doing well in the National Points Battles and
they include Darren Gordon from Hilton Head, SC (34th in Semi Pro), Kevin
O'Brien from Burton, SC (42nd in Pro), Andrew Smith from Pooler, GA (54th
in Pro), James Reyburn from Goose Creek, SC (96th in Masters), Jonathan
Haidon from Hilton Head, SC (102nd in Semi Pro) and Billy Tysinger from
Hardeeville, SC (106th in Semi Pro).

Gates open on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., qualifying begins at 6:00 p.m.
followed by the National Anthem at 7:05 p.m.  The Hardeeville Motor
Speedway is located three miles south of I-95 (exit 5 in SC) on Speedway
Blvd./Highway 17 or just ten miles north of Savannah on Speedway

The O.C Welch Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Late Models will return to action on
Saturday night, August 17th with a 100 lap ($1,500 to win) feature event
