Eden wins up in Dixie

BIRCH RUN MI (8-2-02)  Sondi Eden captured her 2nd career ARCA Auto
Value Midget Series victory Friday night at Dixie Motor Speedway. The
Crawfordsville, Indiana driver hustled her B&R Fire-Schloot Furniture
Brayton Chevy-powered midget from the seventh starting position into the
lead on the second lap and never looked back.

ARCA Midget veteran Gary Harrell finished second in the Dove Racing
Autocraft Hawk with Matt Brun trailing in third. Phil Shroad and Adam
Schuyler completed the five respectively.

Series point leader Dave Baumgartner, who won the Old Milwaukee Quick
Time Award, started eighth in the inversion but was involved in an
accident before completing a lap. Baumgartner, who still maintains the
point lead over Eden, was relegated to the 10th finishing position as a
result.

Next event for the ARCA Auto Value Midget Series will be at Mansfield
Motorsports Speedway on August 17.
