    PLYMOUTH, Mich.--Aug. 2, 2002--DeMattia Group, one of the Midwest's leading real estate development and design/build firms, has designed and is building the 37,171 SF Karmann USA headquarters that will serve the North American market.
    This facility is located in Plymouth, Michigan near Beck Road and M-14 giving Karmann and their clients easy access to the I-275/I-96 corridor and beyond.
    Karmann USA, Inc. is the American subsidiary of Wilhelm Karmann GmbH, a German-based full service automotive supplier offering a full range of services from engineering and complete vehicle development to manufacturing and assembly.     The new facility will replace existing office space in Livonia and will provide office space for engineering, sales and marketing as well as a prototype shop. The lobby will include automotive displays and prototype cars, and the building will be equipped with sunshades that will add a distinctive appearance to the building.
