Volkswagen Reports July Sales Up

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 1 -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. today reported July sales of 32,100, representing a slight gain of 0.3 percent versus last year's total of 32,011.

Through seven months, Volkswagen's year-to-date sales stand at 202,119 versus 2001's mark of 205,037.

Volkswagen remains the nation's top-selling European brand.
