SR Motorsports Puts the Power to the Pavement in the teamSMR WRX

Martinez, CA:  A powerful engine is important in a racecar.  Getting this
power to the wheels is equally as important.  To ensure reliable power
application in the grueling environment of touring car racing, Sheehan Motor
Racing is using and ACT HD clutch and pressure plate from SR Motorsports in
their Subaru WRX U.S. Touring Car Championship (USTCC) racecar.

SR Motorsports has been building racecars in various classes since 1982.  SR
Motorsports only recommends products that are used in their own street and
racecars. They manufacture many of their own products and have extensively
dynamometer tested every one. SR Motorsports believes that real world track
use, combined with serious dyno testing, is the best way to tell if a
product or design is effective.

SR Motorsports has been using ACT clutches and matched Indigo aluminum
flywheels in their racing and street applications for many years with great
success.  Sheehan Motor Racing will only be using the tough ACT clutch and
pressure plate as the USTCC rules do not allow lightened flywheels in an
effort to contain costs.

“We have been using the ACT clutch for several races with great success,”
said Gary Sheehan, the team’s driver.  “The positive results that SR
Motorsports has experienced using these clutches in more powerful
applications than ours gives us confidence that it will easily put up with
our abuse.”
