MANCHESTER, England--July 23, 2002--Jaguar Cars, Ltd. has chosen the new Vehicle Configuration and Test Solutions(VCATS) from Teradyne Diagnostic Solutions for its assembly line vehicle test and configuration requirements. Teradyne's VCATS system will be used for the new range of Jaguar S-Type vehicles manufactured at the Castle Bromwich assembly plant in Birmingham, England. The VCATS system comprises of a number of networked test stations running from a readily accessible clustered SQL database. The vehicle and user interfaces are all based on spread-spectrum RF technology and allow the system to be used anywhere within the plant.
