America Online Latin America Announces Interactive Marketing Agreement With Nissan in Mexico
MEXICO CITY, Mexico--July 23, 2002--America Online Latin America Inc. , one of the leading interactive services providers in Latin America, today announced an interactive marketing agreement between its subsidiary AOL Mexico S.A. de R.L. de C.V. and Nissan Mexico, a subsidiary of Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan Corporation, under which Nissan's new Platina model will be prominently promoted across the AOL Mexico service.
AOL Latin America's Interactive Marketing team is working closely with Nissan Mexico to develop a promotional campaign enabling them to attract their target audience through an online campaign. AOL Latin America developed a marketing and advertising plan for Nissan's Platina model aimed at reaching a target audience of young online consumers. As part of this agreement, the Platina will be promoted through various efforts across channels most popular among this age group -- Music, Entertainment and the Local Information Guide -- on the AOL Mexico service and its Web portal www.aol.com.mx.
Eduardo Hauser, Vice President of AOL Services of AOL Latin America, said: "We are very pleased to call Nissan Mexico one of our new advertising partners. At AOL Latin America, we offer our advertising partners strategic solutions using interactive tools and promotions to enable them to reach their target audience, effectively and cost-efficiently, helping them achieve their marketing goals and objectives. Nissan Mexico wanted to reach a younger, engaged audience to promote their latest model -- the Platina -- and found that being online with AOL was a must for their marketing strategy."
This agreement expands upon the presence of numerous global advertisers who have turned to AOL Latin America to make being online a part of their marketing strategy.
