Mirenco Enters into Five-Year Contract To Test Diesel Buses

    RADCLIFFE, Iowa--July 19, 2002--Mirenco, Inc. (OTCBB:MREO) is pleased to announce the company has entered into a five-year contract with the Iowa Foundation for Educational Administration. The contract outlines a program for the testing of Iowa's diesel school bus fleet and represents up to five million dollars for Mirenco in testing and product sales.
    Under the terms of the contract, Mirenco will analyze tailpipe emissions of over 4500 public and private diesel school buses twice annually. The program provides schools with vehicle emission data that can be used to protect children from the potentially harmful effects of tailpipe emissions. The data will aid schools in further developing preventive maintenance programs.

    The program also incorporates an education element to teach Iowa's school students on the science of vehicle tailpipe emissions and effects on the Earth's energy resources.     Mirenco believes the tailpipe testing program can be expanded and adapted to other Iowa fleets and is currently making changes to their business plan to anticipate future applications of the program.
