McLaren Performance Technologies Names Geoff Owen Vice President/General Manager
LIVONIA, Mich., July 18 McLaren Performance Technologies announced today that it has appointed Geoff Owen to the position of Vice President/General Manager at its Livonia, Michigan headquarters.
Owen previously served as General Manager of McLaren Performance Products in Oldcastle, Ontario, Canada -- the company's recently acquired precision powertrain manufacturing source for original equipment applications and the automotive aftermarket.
"Geoff's demonstrated organizational and strategic capability will allow us to inject a further degree of structure and process in our widening array of business disciplines here at the parent company," according to Steven Rossi, president and CEO, McLaren Performance Technologies. "Simultaneously, we'll utilize his expertise in both sales and business development to pursue additional synergistic opportunities between our engineering and development base in Livonia -- in harmony with our manufacturing center across the river," he continued.
Prior to joining Dart Machine, Ltd., the predecessor manufacturing company which McLaren Performance acquired in 2001, Owen served as Manager, Fleet Market for Southwestern Ontario's Union Gas Company. He attended both the University of Alberta and the University of Windsor, Canada.
McLaren Performance Technologies provides full service design, development, fabrication, manufacturing, testing, validation and certification of automotive and racing powertrains, and related components.
