Law Again Teams Up With Le Mans and Rolex GT Winners
PHOENIX, Ariz. (July 16, 2002) - Accomplished road racer Darren Law will compete in the Cadillac Grand Prix of Washington D.C. this weekend with The Racers Group Porsche GT3-RS team. It only makes sense that one of the most accomplished road racers in the United States compete with one of the hottest teams in GT competition this season.
Law will once again team with the 2002 Rolex 24 Hour and 24 Hours at Le Mans GT class winners. This marks the second time this season the two have paired up. Law ran with former G&W Motorsports teammate Michael Schrom and The Racers Group team owner Kevin Buckler in the 12 Hours of Sebring.
"I am really looking forward to driving with Michael again this year," Law said. "Unfortunately we didn't have that great of a run at Sebring earlier in the season, but we are looking for a much better finish in D.C."
Law, the 2001 Rolex Series GT Champion, is no stranger to running on the temporary circuits.
"I really enjoy running the temporary 'street' circuits," Law said. "I've spent a lot of time on those types of tracks when I was running in the North American Touring Series."
The Cadillac Grand Prix of Washington D.C. will be the first time sports cars have ran in the nation's capital. This inaugural event begins at noon (EDT) this Sunday, July 21.
