Spirit Airlines Welcomes Hertz Corporation to Preferred Partner Network

    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--July 16, 2002--Spirit Airlines, the largest privately-held airline in the U.S., joins forces with The Hertz Corporation as the newest addition to Spirit's Preferred Partner Network of hotels, tour operators and rental car companies nationwide.
    Spirit passengers will receive a special rate when renting a car with Hertz and may book their rental car online at http://www.spiritair.com or by calling Spirit Airlines at 1-800-772-7117 effective immediately.
    Hertz is the world's largest car rental company, operating from more than 7,000 locations in more than 150 countries. Hertz is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Ford Motor Company and offers a wide variety of current-model cars on a short-term rental basis -- daily, weekly or monthly -- at airports, in downtown and suburban business centers and in residential areas and resort locales.
