Designer Raymond Carter Joins Brown Jordan International as Chief Creative Consultant
POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--July 15, 2002--Brown Jordan International, Inc. ("BJI"), the premier designer, manufacturer and marketer of fine casual and contract furniture, announced today that Ray Carter, a highly acclaimed designer in multiple industries, has joined the company as Chief Creative Consultant.Carter brings over 30 years of international experience in consumer, industrial, automotive and transportation design. He has achieved the highest level in inventive and artistic design, quality assurance and measurable results for long established clients such as BMW, Nokia, Samsonite, Microsoft, Chrysler, and GE Research. Prior to working as a consultant, Carter assisted in opening Designworks USA with his partner and grew the company into one of the top design firms in the world. He is also acclaimed for co-developing two milestone publications on ergonomics and industrial design, "The Symbol Sourcebook" and the "Measure of Man." Carter studied at The Art Center College of Design.
