Bruening Motorsports Crew Member To Perform At Benefit
Tim Custer, crew member and P.R. representative for the 07 Bruening Motorsports/Jeff Dunmyer race team based in Somerset, PA will be traveling to the Washington D.C area on July 27th to perform for the victims of the devastating tornados that hit the Charles & Calvert county areas of Maryland in April.
Tim, and his group Mountain Therapy, will be joined by eight other bluegrass bands for a day long bluegrass music concert in Cheltenham, Md.
Tim's childhood neighbor who resides in LA Plata, MD lost her entire home. "Even though it was just a few years ago we had tornadoes do tremendous damage to our area, it's still hard to imagine what those people went through, loosing their home and all of their personal belongings." said Tim.
Custer, an accomplished bluegrass musician and the current Maryland State Banjo Champion said, "Most of the people were underinsured or had no insurance at all." "When I heard of the possibility of a benefit concert, I felt obligated to help." "Our band, along with all the others, will be donating our time and services to help make the concert a success."
Custer also stated, "Bluegrass musicians are very family oriented just like the racing community." "Luckily, the benefit falls on a weekend when the USAR North Series is off, but even if it hadn't, I know the guys would have understood my commitment."
Donations to the victims can be made to:
