Slagh slam-dunks ARCA Kentucky warriors; wins Old Milwaukee Pole at Kentucky (7-11-02) SPARTA KY - Vern Slagh, at 62 years young, is the oldest driver in the field; he's also the fastest. Slagh, in his own Ford Taurus, bumped Frank Kimmel off the Old Milwaukee Pole in the final moments of qualifying here Thursday at Kentucky Speedway to earn his career-1st ARCA RE/MAX Series pole position.
