Maritz Names Duke Hale To Top Post In Automotive Group
ST. LOUIS--July 11, 2002--Maritz Inc., the worldwide leader in enterprise performance management, has named Duke Hale as Group Vice President for its automotive sector.In this newly created position, Hale will oversee the day-to-day operations, sales, and management of the entire range of services Maritz provides to the auto industry. Maritz personnel in its Southern California and Detroit offices will report to Hale.

Hale will be responsible for maintaining a coordinated strategy and service approach by aligning resources from Maritz' performance improvement, travel, and market research business units with its automotive sales and marketing offices throughout the country.

Hale has spent his entire professional career in the automotive industry. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer at American Isuzu Motors Inc. From 1996-2000, he was Vice President, Customer Service and Parts Operations, at Mazda North American Operations in Irvine, Calif.; prior to that, he was Vice President of Sales for Mazda Motors of America.
Hale previously served as President of Starcraft Automotive Corp. of Goshen, N.Y. He also has held senior-level positions at Volvo Cars of North America, Chrysler Corp., and Ford Motor Co.
Hale received a bachelor of science degree from Ball State University in 1972.
