Oshkosh Truck Appoints Bryan Blankfield New General Counsel and Secretary

    OSHKOSH, Wis.--July 10, 2002--Oshkosh Truck Corporation , a diversified manufacturer of defense and commercial trucks and truck bodies, has appointed Bryan Blankfield as vice president, general counsel and secretary. He is responsible for all legal aspects of the corporation's activities and reports directly to Robert Bohn, chairman, president and chief executive officer.
    Blankfield has extensive experience in the full range of public company legal responsibilities, specializing in corporate governance, Securities and Exchange Commission matters, commercial transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, he was vice president, associate general counsel and assistant secretary for Waste Management, Inc. in Houston, Texas. Blankfield holds a B.S. in business administration from Drake University and received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
    Blankfield succeeds Timothy Dempsey, who is retiring after serving as the company's general counsel since 1992, and as the company's secretary since 1982.
