Pickups Plus Announces Promotion of Sean Fitzgerald to President/COO

    MASON, Ohio--July 9, 2002--Pickups Plus, Inc. (OTCBB:PUPS), a leading retailer and national franchiser in the $30 billion truck and SUV aftermarket accessories industry, announced today the promotion of Sean Fitzgerald to President and COO.
    Sean Fitzgerald has been the Vice President of Operations for the previous two years and prior to that was the Director of Franchising and Store Operations. He has 15 years of retail experience and over 10 years of automotive aftermarket accessory experience. Sean Fitzgerald has led in the development of Pickups Plus since its inception and implemented the Company's franchise system.
    Sean also played a key roll in eliminating a substantial amount of the Company's corporate overhead, approximately $90,000 per quarter, and turning the Company towards profitability earlier this year. Sean has worked closely with the new investors in cutting corporate overhead while developing a plan for the continued growth of corporate and franchise stores. This growth is evident as the Company recently announced strong growth in same store sales and the new franchises in New Orleans, Louisiana, Seattle, Washington and Houston, Texas.

    To clarify a statement from a previous press release dated May 28, 2002 concerning the reduction of operating costs, the release incorrectly reflected that the Company has taken measure to reduce operating costs by $90,000 per month. This figure should have been $90,000 per quarter, which is expected to bring the Company to profitability by the end of the year. This change has no impact on any other reported numbers or filings.
