Donnelly Lighting and Mirrors Win Quest for Excellence Awards

HOLLAND, Mich., July 8 Donnelly Corporation announced today that it has received two 2002 Quest for Excellence Awards from Automotive Industries magazine for its outstanding performance as an automotive supplier in two separate categories: mirrors and lighting. It was the second year in a row that Donnelly won the award in the lighting category.

Quest for Excellence Awards are given to the "best of the best" suppliers based on a survey of over 12,000 Automotive Industries readers who ranked suppliers on the critical issues of quality, on-time delivery, customer service, technological innovation and pricing. The complete list of winners will be published in the July issue of the publication.

"To be selected by our customers as one of the top suppliers in two product areas demonstrates to the automotive world that our products and our technology truly are excellent," said Dwane Baumgardner, chairman and chief executive officer. "Donnelly pioneered the incorporation of lighting into both interior and exterior mirrors, and the fruits of our innovation can be seen on millions of vehicles worldwide."

Donnelly Corporation is expected to become Magna Donnelly under a merger agreement between Donnelly and Magna International, which will be finalized in the fall.
