Jetta Continues as Best Selling Volkswagen In Canada

AJAX, ON, July 2 /CNW/ - The Volkswagen Jetta continues to be Volkswagen's best selling car in June with 2,124 units sold. The Jetta Line up will be expanding with the introduction of the Jetta Wagon, set to arrive in dealerships later this month. Volkswagen Canada sales in June reached 3,964 vehicles, compared with 4,599 vehicles in June 2001, a decrease of 13.8%.

Passat sedan sales in June reached 301 vehicles, compared with 361 in June 2001. Passat Wagon sales grew from 128 vehicles in June 2001, to 140 vehicles in June 2002, an increase of 9.4%.

The Volkswagen Golf finished the month of June with strong sales totaling 992 units.
