Infineon Raceway Names New Senior Marketing Manager
SONOMA, Calif. (IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - Daniel Cooper has been named Senior Marketing Manager at Infineon Raceway, it was announced by raceway officials.
Cooper, 34, will be responsible for event marketing, including trade shows and special events. He will also help execute sponsorship commitments and organize pre-event activities.
Prior to coming to Infineon Raceway, Cooper worked in account management roles at advertising agencies in New York City and San Francisco on global brand-building campaigns for Ray-Ban Sunglasses, Hush-Puppies, BASF (a German chemical company) and Southcorp Wines of Australia. Cooper has also worked as a sponsorship consultant for a Speedvision Cup BMW M3 race team in New York.
"Adding someone of Daniel's caliber to our team fills the final piece of our puzzle. His experience in building brands, working with media partners and executing multi-faceted promotions is going to help us increase our marketing reach and help us in our efforts to continue to grow sales," said Tim Schuldt, vice president of marketing and sales at Infineon Raceway.
Cooper comes to the facility at an exciting time as the raceway recently announced a long-term naming rights partnership with German-based Infineon Technologies, one of the world's top semiconductor manufacturing companies. Infineon Raceway is also near the end of a two-year, $50 million Modernization Plan that has transformed the raceway into one of the premier motorsports and entertainment venues in the country.
"For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of combining my love of motorsports with a desire to be a part of a dynamic and original marketing effort," said Cooper. "The opportunity to join a newly rechristened, world-class organization that is quite literally pulsing with energy and enthusiasm was one that I very simply could not pass up."
Cooper graduated with degrees in International Affairs and Economics from Tufts University in Boston. He currently resides in San Francisco.
