Kia Numbers Continue to Increase; June Sales Up Six Percent

The company sold 22,498 vehicles, outpacing last June's total by six percent. Kia's year-to-date sales of 121,215 vehicles are up 19 percent versus sales in the same period last year.

"Echoing Korea's success in soccer's World Cup, Kia continues to produce surging sales numbers," said Peter M. Butterfield, Kia executive vice president and chief operating officer. "At the half-way mark for the year, we're well on track to achieve a 10 percent increase in sales for 2002."
