Volkswagen Reports June Sales - Down 5% Y/Y

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., July 2 -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. today reported June sales of 32,659, representing a five percent decline versus last year's record-setting mark of 34,375.

Total year-to-date sales figures stand at 170,019 versus 2001's total of 173,026.

Volkswagen remains the nation's top-selling European brand.
