Firestone Tomas drove an outstanding race in this past weekends SunTrust 250
on the very demanding 3/4 mile Richmond International Raceway.
Dane Carter... qualifying 6th and finishing 3rd in the heat at Richmond
International Dane showed his "stuff" this past weekend.
Starting in the USAC Silver Crown in 1999 Dane making four feature starts.
In 2000 he started three Silver Crown races with a best finish a 9th at
Memphis. Staring the 2001 season Dane had a 3rd in the "Cooper Classic"
followed by a pole and 3rd at Pikes Peak.
Other highlights include a spectacular win at Winchester on the last lap in
the August 2000 USAC Midget Car event to go along with a 3rd in the "Sammy
Sessions Classic" at Winchester and a 4th in the "Glen Niebel Classic" at
Anderson.
Dane is the son of USAC Legend "Pancho" Carter.
Jeff Horton... newly named technical director and director of engineering
for the Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series.
A graduate of Wayne University Jeff has a number of positions in motorsports
including Buick Motorsports, the Chevy Indy Program, General Motors, and
Ilmor Engineering.
The Budweiser Autosport 2002 Show can be heard live in Indianapolis on WKLU
101.9 FM. The show will be telecast Thursday at 5:30 pm on WDNI I65 TV...
over the air channel 65, Time/Warner Cable channel 20, and Comcast Cable
channel 99.
