ANDY BRUMBAUGH MID-OHIO RACE REPORT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ANDY BRUMBAUGH MID-OHIO RACE REPORT

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (June 30, 2002)—Round Eight of the Formula Ford 2000 Zetec
Championship was a tough race for the Ohio born Andy Brumbaugh.

Starting eighth, Brumbaugh was involved in an incident early in the race.
Driving the No. 86 EMX/Van Diemen, Brumbaugh was making a move on Mike
Anderson in the esses, when he got pinched between Anderson and Bryan
Sellers in turn 8. Sellers left Brumbaugh with nowhere to go and the two
cars made contact. By the time Brumbaugh could rejoin the race he was in
18th place. Working hard, he managed to pick up two spots during the race,
to finish 16th for the day.

"It was an unfortunate end to a good weekend," said Brumbaugh. "We were fast
all weekend and knew I could have had a good showing, but I was left no room
at the start. We go to VIR at the end of the month for a series test, but we
will return to Mid-Ohio next month ready to mount the podium."

"I can’t wait for the next race," said AIM Autosport team owner/engineer Ian
Willis. "I know we are better than we showed here."

Brumbaugh’s teammate, Mark Wilkins, finished 11th on the day.
