Kia Motors June sales down 11.8 pct

SEOUL, July 2 Reuters reported that South Korea's second largest vehicle maker Kia Motors Corp said on Tuesday its June sales fell 11.8 percent from a year earlier to 70,359 units.

Exports in June fell 20.3 percent to 35,353 units from the same month last year, while domestic sales were down 1.0 percent to 35,006 units, a Kia Motors spokesman told Reuters.

Kia Motors is affiliated with South Korea's largest automaker, Hyundai Motor Co Ltd (KSE:05380.KS - News).

In May, Kia sold 94,448 vehicles, including 49,777 exports and domestic sales of 44,671.
