HeafNet Rewards Attracts More Than 2,500 Tire Dealers in Its First Year

    CHARLOTTE, N.C.--July 1, 2002--A year after introducing the industry's first online rewards program for independent tire dealers, Heafner Tire Group, which will change its name to American Tire Distributors on July 4, said today that more than 2,500 dealers nationwide are participating in HeafNet(R) Rewards.
    To celebrate the first anniversary of HeafNet(R) Rewards, which launched July 1, 2001, the company has announced a sweepstakes for HeafNet(R) Online users through Aug. 31. The grand prize is 1 million HeafNet(R) Rewards points, which can be redeemed for airline tickets, adventure travel packages, electronics, cameras, pool tables and other travel and merchandise gifts. HeafNet(R) users also earn Rewards points every time they place an order. In the first year, users earned more than 13 million Rewards points.
    HeafNet(R) Rewards is one of the many benefits offered by HeafNet(R), Heafner's e-service package to independent tire dealers. Through the convenience of the Internet, HeafNet(R) has simplified the ordering of tires, wheels and related products for independent tire dealers.
