Formula Ford 2000 Zetec Championship Test Notes from Mid-Ohio

Test Notes at Mid-Ohio

- Three half-hour sessions were run on the Thursday test day.
- The first two sessions were run under cloudy skies, but on a dry track.
The last session was
shortened after a strong thundershower.
- No. 6 McDonough did the Mid-Ohio School on Wednesday to learn the track.
- No. 27 Andersen is making his first Zetec Championship start after
previously running a pinto engine car in the championship and winning the
SCCA National Championship.
- No. 16 Gue is making his first career Zetec Championship start this
weekend.
- No. 46 Schiavo did not go out in the first session due to damage to the
Dynamic Suspension damper adjuster.
- No. 5 Imery has joined Pabst Racing Services. This marks the first time in
three years that Imery is not racing with Cape Motorsports.
- No. 59 Green makes his first start this year after graduating high school.
- No. 9 Kasemets and No. 5 have new orange color paint schemes.
- In the first session No. 27 went wide in turn seven and got in the dirt
before hitting the tire wall. The car had damage to the right front corner,
but was out for the second session.
- No. 3 Sellers pulled off track during the first session with an electrical
failure.
- No. 62 Sakowicz had wheel nut come loose in the session, but made it back
to the pits.
- No. 3 had throttle cable break in the second session.
- No. 32 Aschenbach pulled off in the third session with a fuel pump
failure.
- In the third session No. 3 had break problems, which resulted in high
speed spin at the end of the back straight-away.
