The following U.S. and Canadian assembly plants are working overtime this week: Dearborn (Ford Mustang), Kansas City (Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute), Kansas City (Ford F-Series), Lorain (Ford Econoline), Louisville (Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer), Michigan Truck (Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator), Norfolk (Ford F-Series), Ontario (Ford F-Series), St. Louis (Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer), and Wayne (Ford Focus).
Next week (July 1), all North American assembly plants will begin the annual summer shutdown. Production at most North American assembly plants will resume on Monday, July 15. Ontario Truck (Ford F-Series) will resume production on Monday, July 22 after a three-week summer shutdown. Oakville (Ford Windstar) will resume production on Monday, July 29 after a three-week summer shutdown and a fourth week during which the plant undergoes facilities changes.
