Advanced Transportation Conference Highlights Rural and Urban Issues

MONTEREY, Calif., June 26 -- Monterey, California will be the backdrop for a joint Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) conference in September between the California Alliance for Advanced Transportation Systems (CAATS) and the Rural Advanced Transportation and Technology Systems (RATTS). Connecting All Roads, All Modes, will provide a comprehensive program devoted to highlighting the latest in rural and urban advanced transportation issues.

By joining forces the two groups can offer a tremendous program featuring the newest and best in California ITS, coupled with the latest and greatest in national rural ITS. Conference attendees will find more informational sessions than ever during this 3-day event, and those sessions will offer more topics than ever before, including a special cross-cutting track on day three. Additionally, it will feature exhibits, demonstrations, a California Beach Party and keynote speakers

According to CAATS CEO Bob Andosca, the three-and-a-half day event is the culmination of more than a year's planning, is scheduled for Sept. 10-13, 2002 at the Monterey Embassy Suites. "It's sure to be a phenomenal program with great appeal," he said.
