Cadillac Grand Prix of Washington D.C. Names Host of Stars and Cars Party
WASHINGTON--June 26, 2002--The Cadillac Grand Prix of Washington D.C. today announced that the "Stars and Cars Party," presented by DC One Magazine, will be held at Dream Nightclub on Saturday, July 20, 2002 beginning at 7 p.m.To accommodate a larger than expected crowd, with drivers, teams and competitors, the party and welcome concert have been combined and moved to the largest club in Washington D.C.
Following the Trans-Am and Celebrity Pro-Am races on Saturday evening, fans can take a bus that will shuttle from the circuit at RFK to Dream to celebrate the end of the first day of racing. With 52,000 square feet of entertainment space on four floors, Dream Nightclub, the largest club in Washington D.C., is perfect for the inaugural celebration of the Cadillac Grand Prix.
"The Stars and Cars Party is the perfect compliment to the race and no venue is better suited for such a grand event than Dream," said DC ONE's Publisher Masoud A. "This party will be the talk of the town before and long after the event, and DC ONE is proud to be the host."
The $4.2 million dollar complex, located just 10 minutes from the grounds of RFK at 1350 Okie Street N.E, also enjoys a beautiful view of the nation's capitol from two rooftop decks.

The Cadillac Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., which is coming to the grounds of RFK Stadium July 19-21, will feature races of four sanctioning bodies: American Le Mans (ALMS), Trans-Am, World Challenge and Star Mazda. It will be the first major auto-racing event in the D.C. metropolitan area in more than 80 years. The ALMS race will be televised live on NBC and CBS will air the Trans-Am race.
The three-day weekend festival will feature a motorcycle jump by Robbie Knievel, Lifestyle Expo and a celebrity match race.
