Enova Announces Successful Capital Raising

TORRANCE, Calif.--June 19, 2002--Enova Systems, Torrance, California (OTCBB:ENVA - News), today announced the success of its recent drive for increased capitalization, raising more than $4 million. This investment capital infusion comes at an important time in Enova's development, bolstering key production programs providing increased revenue growth for the Company.

The investor group includes Jagen Pty, Ltd of Australia, expressing its ongoing confidence as Enova's largest shareholder; RAB Capital from the United Kingdom; as well as a syndicate of other international and domestic private investors.

Anthony Rawlinson, Enova's Chairman of the Board, said, "This new financing, coming during a challenging time for financing in the energy technology sector and the stock market as a whole, is a powerful endorsement of Enova's strategic plan. We now are backed by a broad base of international investors from Europe, Asia, and North America."

Enova will apply a substantial portion of this vital investment capital to expand its product base, customer service and support. The Company anticipates that revenues in 2002 will increase by more than fifty percent from 2001 levels. Additional financial resources remain targeted toward the research and development that is at the core of Enova's technological leadership, and to meeting the production requirements for a series of ongoing programs.

Major Automotive Alliances, such as production of key components for Ford's Th!nk city vehicle due to commence production this year in alliance with Ballard Power; Enova is also developing advanced automotive and transit power train systems on both hybrid and fuel cell platforms for Ford's Focus Fuel Cell Vehicle and Hyundai Motor Company. Heavy-Duty Major Bus Alliances with major international and domestic bus manufacturers such as Advanced Vehicle Systems of the United States for our Panther(TM) drive system with the Capstone Turbine and Wrights Bus of the United Kingdom; Eco Power Technology (which recently won a contract to supply the City of Turin, Italy for hybrid buses); Tomoe Engineering and Moriah Corporation of Japan; and Hyundai Motor Company for Panther(TM) 120kW electric and hybrid-electric drive systems.
