Chicago Auto Dealer Group Officers and Board Members Elected
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill., June 17 -- The Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) enters its 99th year as the nation's largest metropolitan dealer group with over 750 franchised new-car dealer and allied members in the Chicago and northwest Indiana area. Election results for the group's 2002-03 officers and board of directors were announced at the June 10 annual meeting of the CATA.
Officers elected are: Mike McGrath of McGrath Lexus in Chicago and Westmont, Ill., and McGrath Acura in Westmont, Ill., Chairman; Casey Wickstrom of Dick Wickstrom Chevrolet, Roselle, Ill., Vice Chairman; Art Kelly of Kelly Nissan, Oak Lawn, Ill., Treasurer; and Terry D'Arcy of D'Arcy Oldsmobile- Buick-GMC and D'Arcy Volkswagen-Hyundai-Isuzu in Joliet, Ill., Secretary.
Past CATA Chairman Bob Van Iten of Village Pontiac-GMC in Naperville, Ill., Saturn of North Aurora in North Aurora, Ill., and Saturn of Naperville in Naperville, Ill., was elected chairman of the 2003 Chicago Auto Show.
Re-elected to three-year terms on the board of directors were: Lee Drabek of Gateway Chevrolet-Oldsmobile in Chicago; John Guido of Arlington Heights Ford in Arlington Heights, Ill.; and Bill Jacobs Jr. of Bill Jacobs Chevrolet- Oldsmobile in Plainfield, Ill., Bill Jacobs Chevrolet-Mazda-Mitsubishi-Kia- Daewoo in Joliet, Ill., Bill Jacobs Motorsport in Naperville, Ill., Land Rover Barrington in Barrington, Ill., Land Rover Hinsdale in Hinsdale, Ill., and Land Rover Hoffman Estates in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
Elected to his first three-year term on the board was Steve Foley Jr., of Steve Foley Cadillac-Mitsubishi-Bentley and Rolls-Royce in Northbrook, Ill.
The CATA represents franchised new-car dealerships that employ more than 56,000 people and is best known for producing the annual Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place.
