J.B. Hunt Wins Outbound Carrier of the Year Award from Target Corporation for Second Consecutive Year; Employees Recognized for Outstanding Customer Service

    LOWELL, Ark.--June 17, 2002--J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. has again received Target Corporation's Outbound Carrier of the Year Award. The honor was given to J.B. Hunt Dedicated Contract Services (DCS) for its work during 2001 at the Target Stuarts Draft, Virginia, distribution center. In addition, several J.B. Hunt employees were given All Star Awards for individual and team performance. The awards were presented at the annual Target Carrier Conference in Minneapolis in May.
    J.B. Hunt earned the prestigious Outbound Carrier of the Year honor for the second consecutive year, winning it last year for its work at the Tifton, Georgia, distribution center. During 2001, J.B. Hunt achieved a 99.8% on-time service record at the Stuarts Draft facility. The company was also cited for its communication, documentation, accountability and customer service follow-up, according to Mike Hoyt, vice president of transportation for Target Corporation.
