Littelfuse Elects Two New Directors
DES PLAINES, Ill.--June 17, 2002--Littelfuse, Inc. today announced the election of Gordon Hunter and Ronald L. Schubel to the company's Board of Directors. Hunter, 50, is a Vice President of Intel Corporation. Schubel, 57, is Corporate Executive Vice President and President, Americas Region, of Molex Incorporated."We are extremely pleased to welcome these talented executives to our board. Their extensive experience in electronics, automotive and industrial businesses will be a valuable asset to our management team as we continue to move forward with our growth strategies," said Howard B. Hunter jointed Intel in February 2002 with responsibility for co-managing the access and optical communications business segments within the Intel Communications Group. He previously served as President of EloTouchSystems, a worldwide leader in the manufacturing and sales of computer touch screens. His experience includes 20 years with Raychem Corporation in the United States and Europe, with responsibilities in sales, marketing, engineering and general management. At Raychem, he served as Vice President of the Electronics Division, with $400 million in sales, and later as President of Raychem HTS, with over $300 million in revenue, including operations in Europe and the U.S. Hunter received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Liverpool, England, and a MBA from the London Business School.
In his current position, Schubel is responsible for all Molex functional groups in the Americas, which contribute approximately 40% of the company's total revenues. Schubel started his career with Molex in 1981 as Vice President - Operations U.S. and Corporate Vice President, responsible for overseeing manufacturing facilities and the Engineering/Tool Room Groups. Two years later, he became President of the Commercial Products Division. In 1994, he was promoted to President of the Far East South Region residing in Singapore, a post he held until returning to Molex's Chicago area headquarters in 1998. Prior to joining Molex, he worked for General Motors for 15 years from 1966 to 1981, first as a plant manager, then as a manager of Manufacturing Engineering and, lastly as Director of Operations for the Packard Electric Division of GM. Schubel has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Management from the University of Missouri.
Both directors were elected to terms expiring at the company's annual meeting in April 2003.
