Yazaki North America, Inc. Launches New Online Connector Search Tool

CANTON, Mich., June 17 -- Yazaki North America, Inc., a leading supplier of vehicle power and data solutions to the automotive industry, announces the roll out of Component Central, a new and improved connector search engine. Component Central offers customers an expanded search function and replaces the Connector Connection search capability on the Yazaki web site.

"Component Central will not only address the needs of our customers and their businesses, but also lay the foundation for increased e-commerce opportunities in the future," said David Conrad, vice president of Information Technology & Global e-Business, Yazaki North America. "Customers will find this new tool to be a much faster and easier method of obtaining Yazaki connector information."

Component Central is a robust and user-friendly search engine that allows customers to pull component information such as specifications, dimensions and application data by inputting whole or partial part numbers and by product type. "We are excited about the additional functionality and the ease of use this tool will provide to our connector and terminal customers," said Rich Tajer, director of Component Business Unit, Yazaki North America.

Yazaki is continuing to add functionality to Component Central with future versions including sample and quote requests, customer design options, and online ordering.
