AMA / Chevy Trucks US Championship Round 5: , Budds Creek Motocross Park,

Honda Racing's Ricky Carmichael kept his 2002 AMA 250cc Outdoor Motocross
win streak alive as he won both motos at Budds


Creek , MD to take his ninth and tenth wins of the season. Carmichael's
victory ties him with race legend Bob "Hurricane" Hannah's ten


consecutive 250cc outdoor Motocross wins.


"It was just a perfect day for me," said Carmichael, the current AMA 250cc
Motocross champion. "I don't know how long this streak


will last but I am enjoying it right now."


Amsoil / Dr. Martens / Journeys / Honda Racing's Mike LaRocco is back with
a vengeance. The Indiana native scored a (4-2)


overall finish to take second for the day. LaRocco is coming back from a
broken wrist and is showing amazing speed and endurance.


Honda Red Rider Sebastien Tortelli finished the day with a score of (6-8)
to take 7th overall which keeps him third in the series points standings.


Honda Racing's Nathan Ramsey is still out of action. Ramsey hopes to return
for Round 6 in Buchanan, MI.


Honda Racing's Ernesto Fonseca, racing a CR125R in the 125cc class took
fourth (7-3) on his factory Honda. Fonseca is currently in third place in
the 125cc standings behind Chad Reed and James Stewart.


Amsoil / Dr. Marten / Journeys / Honda Racing Travis Preston and Michael
Byrne were sidelined due to ankle injuries and did not compete. Teammate
Chris Gosselaar finished the day in eighteenth place with a score of
(22-11).
