Microheat Announces World's First Heated Windshield Washer System - Hotshot - Coming to Market

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., June 11 -- Microheat, Inc. announced today that it will be first to produce and bring to market the world's initial offering of an effective heated windshield washer system -- the HotShot® -- for automobiles, trucks, buses and other motorized vehicles as early as the third quarter of this year.

The HotShot System quickly heats washer fluid on demand, allowing drivers to rapidly and efficiently remove ice, snow, road grime, insects and other visual deterrents that smear, fog or cover windshield glass. The heated windshield washer system will enhance safety and convenience for drivers in all global climates. It is a simple system to operate, while being a technological wonder.

Microheat has stepped onto the global stage as a world class developer, manufacturer and Tier One supplier of HotShot. It has spent years developing and testing HotShot under extreme, real-life conditions and in environmental hot/cold chambers. These immense efforts have allowed Microheat to create the optimal formula that precisely combines liquid quantity, temperature, time and electric current consumption, and the pioneering technology to control it in a small, lightweight design.

The company has taken an aggressive approach to patent protect each integral component of HotShot, as well as the innovative technology concepts that allow for its proper function. Deviations from the patented process will lead to inefficiency in the heating process and in some cases could cause damage to a vehicle's electrical system. Many patent applications were applied for by Microheat since June 1997. Some of them are already granted.

Microheat has spent six years of research and development and more than four years of working with the largest auto manufacturers, and presenting to automotive Tier One suppliers. Microheat was first to develop the aftermarket product to meet almost any application variation within the industry.

Microheat is currently introducing two HotShot designs, one for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) market and a replacement unit for Aftermarket and Original Equipment Suppliers. A future third version for the rear window is being designed for the OEM market. By introducing the rear window system, Microheat will present a complete new generation of vehicle heated washer fluid system developed in house to maximize the efficiency of using heated washer fluid for clearing windshield vision in all driving conditions.

HotShot will be available first to the North American and European aftermarket, as well as fleet sales, beginning in the fourth quarter of this year. In addition, the company is presently in discussions with automotive and truck manufacturers, and anticipates the HotShot technology should soon be available as a factory-installed option on several 2004/5 vehicle platforms.

Headquartered in the United States -- where HotShot will be assembled -- Microheat has a global reach in its research and development. Microheat has implemented a corporate strategy to seek out employees from around the world with high levels of expertise in disciplines as diverse as engineering, research, product design, testing, manufacturing, management, marketing and sales. As a result, Microheat is staffed with skilled employees with hundreds of cumulative years of experience in many well-known corporations, governmental organizations and industries. Microheat's vision is to be the industry leader in the "Next Generation of Heated Windshield Washer Fluid Systems."
