Sports Car Grand Prix Media Day to Offer Two-Seater Rides

What:	The Rolex Sports Car Series and Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series will participate in a Media Day in preparation for the Sports Car Grand Prix. The Media Day will include a luncheon with the series' top drivers and two-seater rides in actual race cars on Watkins Glen International's long course. For the first-time ever, the Rolex Series will offer two-seater rides in one of its open-cockpit SportsRacing Prototype II cars. 

When:	Thursday, June 20, 2002
	11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Where:	Watkins Glen International Media Center 

Two-seater rides:	G&W Motorsports/Momentum Motorcars BMW-powered Picchio (Rolex Series SportsRacing Prototype II class) 
	ZIP Racing Porsche GT3 R (Rolex Series GT class) 
	SpeedSource Porsche 911 (Grand-Am Cup Grand Sport II class) 
	SpeedSource Porsche Boxster (Grand-Am Cup Sport Touring I class)
	Team Lexus GS400 (Grand-Am Cup Sport Touring I class)
	Team Ford Focus (Grand-Am Cup Sport Touring II class)

Media Luncheon:	Didier Theys, Doran Lista Racing #27 Judd-powered Dallara - Theys captured his second overall win at the Rolex 24 At Daytona this year and ran out a three-race winning streak to open up the season before finishing second at the series previous race in Phoenix.  
	
Chris Dyson, Dyson Racing Team #16 Ford-powered Riley & Scott - Dyson made his professional racing debut at The Glen last August at the Bully Hill Vineyards 250. After finishing second overall at California Speedway's inaugural road race in March, Dyson captured his first professional victory in Phoenix. 

Anthony Lazzaro, Rand Racing #8 Nissan-powered Lola - Lazzaro kicked off the season by winning the SportsRacing Prototype II class and finishing third overall at the Rolex 24 At Daytona. He also won his class at the Nextel 250 in Homestead immediately after posting a top-10 finish in the IRL race the same day.

Schedule:	11:30 a.m. - Media day begins, Two-Seater driver fittings  
	12:00 p.m. - Two-Seater Rides begin
	1:00 p.m. - Lunch and round table interviews
