TROY, Mich. Reuteurs is reporting that Delphi Corp. the world's leading auto parts supplier, said Monday it reached a long-term agreement with Ford Motor Co. to supply it with Delphi Delco audio systems for several future vehicle models.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed but Jeffrey Owens, president of Delphi Delco Electronics Systems, described it as "significant" in a statement celebrating the new relationship between Delphi and the world's second-largest automaker.
"We are very pleased with being selected as a major Ford audio systems supplier," Owens said.
The statement said Delphi would supply Ford with several radio receivers and audio systems including a six-disc CD in dash changer.
Delphi was spun off from Ford's cross-town rival General Motors Corp. a few years ago.
