TONY KANAAN QUOTES
"If somebody would have told me before we got here this weekend that we were
going to start fourth, you would have seen me doing cartwheels. But after
we got fourth in the first qualifying session on Friday, it's a little
disappointing that we didn't move up in the order. I'm not complaining,
because it's been great this weekend that we've been consistently fast since
the very first laps of Friday-morning practice. My guys have all been
working so hard and so closely together, and it's nice to see we're getting
some good results. This is only our second day in this car ever on a road
course. Last weekend was our first weekend with the car on a racetrack of
any kind. After we went out of the race early at Milwaukee, we had a little
meeting and told each other that we were going to work really hard and make
something good happen at Laguna. Well, it's shaping up that way. I've
definitely got a very competitive car, so I'm feeling good about our chances
in the race on Sunday. Our first priority is to finish. Beyond that, it's
up to a much higher authority!"
