qualifying lap on Thursday night. He will start 18th in Saturday's
500-kilometer event under the lights. Earlier in the day today, Giaffone
had the 12th-fastest lap in the next-to-last practice session of the
weekend.

FELIPE GIAFFONE

"We have the car working pretty well right now. It's still not the fastest
car on the track, but it's working well in traffic, which will be very
important here because we will definitely need to be able to stay in contact
with the leaders. I think if our pit strategy works out, we should have a
pretty good result tomorrow. I'm definitely feeling much more comfortable
in the car than I did yesterday. We put a new engine in the car before we
started practice today and it helped make a huge difference. I'm
comfortable, and the car is working well in the draft. Those are all good
signs that we should be in pretty good shape tomorrow night. No matter what
happens, it's going to be exciting to race under the lights for the first
time this year."
