PIERCE TAKES TWO, POINTS LEAD

Speedway, IN  Muncie Indiana's Aaron Pierce broke the Regional MidgetCar Series points tie with Billy Wease in dominating fashion Thursday night winning both the Midget Car portion of the Detroit Diesel 100, and the final 45 laps of the rained-out feature event carried over from May 16th.  Wease dropped out of the 45 lapper early with mechanicals after setting quick time in qualifying, but returned to runner-up the regularly scheduled feature event over Matt Maners who also finished third in the rain delayed May 16 race behind Shawn Stout.
