Electric Fuel to Present at the EyeForFuelCells Conference in Detroit, MI
NEW YORK, May 30-- Electric Fuel Corporation, the world's leading zinc-air fuel cell company, has been invited to present a case study of its past and current achievements of its zinc-air electric bus program at the EyeForFuelCells conference. The conference will be held at the Marriott Dearborne Inn Hotel in Detroit, MI from June 3 through June 4, 2002. Attending the event will be some of the world's fuel cell industry leaders; OEM executives; and policy makers and regulators.
Electric Fuel's zinc-air bus is the nation's first practical zero-emission transit bus, designed to provide enough energy to power a full-sized city bus for a full day's driving on a single refueling. The bus, developed with support from the Federal Transit Administration and the BIRD Foundation, has been extensively track-tested as part of an ongoing FTA demonstration and evaluation program.
Electric Fuel President and CEO Yehuda Harats commented, "Electric Fuel's zinc-air technology platform for fleet buses is economical and environmentally benign. We feel we have a viable solution today for the problems plaguing bus fleets. Being part of fuel cell conferences such as this is key in promoting our technology."
