AltaVista Software Selected by Covisint for Portal Content Search and Retrieval; Scalable Search and Retrieval Technology Allows Customers to Access Information Quickly
PALO ALTO, Calif.--May 28, 2002--AltaVista Software, a division of AltaVista Company, a majority-owned operating company of CMGI, Inc. , today announced that its search and retrieval technology has been selected by Covisint, the e-business exchange for the automotive industry, to drive efficient content search and retrieval on its automotive industry portal.Covisint will use the AltaVista Software solution to provide secure categorization and consolidation across disparate automotive industry data sources. Covisint customers will leverage the AltaVista Software search engine to query resources within the industry portal.
