HMS Race on Saturday, May 25 (T2)
HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (May 17, 2002) - The Hardeeville Motor Speedway will return to racing action on Saturday night, May 25th after being rained out last weekend. The highlight of the Coastal Plains Insurance Night will be the 100 lap "Lat Model Dash for Cash" paying $1,500.00 to the winner. Also racing on Saturday Night will be the Legends Cars, Mini Stocks and Xtreme Stock Car. Making their second attempt at a debut will be the new entry level division called the "Road Warriors" with three exhibition races. The four cylinder stock cars will compete in a variety of events featuring opposite direction races, reverse races, train races, "second over the line wins" races and more. The first official races will be Saturday night, June 8th. Rules are currently available for this fun and affordable division. The speedway has race-ready cars available for sale for $1,500.00. Gates open at 4:00 p.m., qualifying begins at 6:20 p.m. followed by the National Anthem at 7:00 p.m. General admission ticket prices are $10.00 for adults; $6.00 for Juniors (ages 13-16), Seniors (55 and older) and Military (with proper I.D.); and children under 12 are free for this special night of racing.
