the pci group Meets With Chinese Olympic Organizing Committee

    TROY, Mich.--May 23, 2002--the pci group (pci) recently met with one of the coordinating committees responsible for the Olympic games in Beijing, China to discuss planning and execution of many of the Olympic projects scheduled for the 2008 Olympic games.
    The meeting was scheduled as part of a trade mission delegation of 15 Oakland County companies sponsored by Automation Alley and led by L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive. Mr. Patterson said that "Given China's high growth rate and recent entrance into the World Trade Organization (WTO), pci's expertise and skills in managing projects and implementing management solutions will be a significant boost to the efficiency of project operations in these Chinese companies." Denis Couture, President of pci further added "that project management as a discipline continues to play an ever-increasing role on large, complex projects because of its effectiveness in getting things accomplished as compared to other management techniques. Pci is focused on bringing the latest technology and best practices in project management to companies looking to improve their capabilities in executing projects." The trade mission was designed to promote growth in Oakland County through the export of products and services by companies based in the county.
